Two overlay systems are available:
One is best utilized for thin applications from 1/16 – 3/16" thick. It can be applied by trowel or with a hopper gun. The troweled surface may be lightly broomed. The spray application is used when applying the product over stencils, on vertical surfaces, or when a knock down or skip trowel finish is desired. The other system is used for thicker applications from 1/4" to 1/2". The product can be applied by trowel, or with a gauge rake for stamped or textured surfaces.

Both systems perform well when exposed to freezing/thawing and automobile traffic. Sealers are available to protect the surface from de-icing salts and discoloration from dirt and spills.

Do you have an existing concrete surface that is worn or blemished? Do you want to add color, pattern, and texture?

If so, Butterfield Color® can provide high performance overlay systems that allow for the decorative treatment of both horizontal and vertical concrete. The products are polymer modified cementitious materials for resurfacing clean, sound, and non-moving concrete floors, exterior hardscapes, and walls. Available as a prepackaged material in a gray or white base color, the products are field mixed with water for application by trowel or a hopper gun. The base colors may also be colored by adding a color pack to the mix. 24 standard colors and custom colors are available. Once cured, the systems may also be colored with reactive chemical stains or water based opaque stains.
